Luis Tabuenca is a percussionist and composer from Zaragoza, Spain, who focuses on experimental and contemporary music. His approach to composition is playful, and heavily based in improvisation. He has composed for solo's, chamber music, film and dance, and performed around the world. He has just taken part in the European-Egyptian Contemporary Music Society's Cairo Contemporary Music Days festival, both performing and hosting improvisation sessions. His performance at the Cairo Opera House showcased his aptitude for dancing between the notions of composition and improvisation.
