Sofar Sounds Cairo @ Bardo Clubhouse, Cairo

Sofar Sounds is a London based startup company that hosts intimate and secret events in undisclosed locations, often in people's houses. Since their launch in 2009, they have expanded to a number of worldwide locations, including Cairo. 

Sofar has hosted a string of events in Cairo, with some truly impressive artists including Aya Metwalli and Safi. This past week, Bardo Clubhouse's picturesque outdoor area was the scene, adorned with kilim rugs and a table of mulled wine. The night started off with experimental oud player and singer Ali Baghdadi, followed up by the improvisational trio of multi-instrumentalist and singer Eslam El-Sha'ary, percussionist/beat-boxer Moose, and British flautist/harpist Tamsin. Do'souqa finished off the night with their lovable indie rock. 

Once again, Sofar delivered a cozy and intimate experience, enhanced by the ambience of Bardo.
