Red Bull Music Academy's Jamhoureya @ Om Kalthoum Hotel, Cairo
The Red Bull Music Academy’s breakthrough Jamhoureya project endeavored to link worlds previously unlinked, and open uncharted territory for sonic collaboration and human connection. It took four of Egypt’s most exciting and skilled electronic musicians Amr Khaled (Fulltone), Hassan Abou Alam, Hussein Sherbini and Maii Waleed to far-flung corners of Egypt with a mission to collaborate with traditional artists from Aswan, Luxor, Marsa Alam and Siwa respectively. The project culminated in a massive celebratory concert set in the Om Khalthoum hotel.
