Characterized by her captivating stage presence and stunning attire, Oum el Ghait Benessahraoui, known as Oum, is a Moroccan singer of Saharan origins who blends Moroccan styles such as Hassania, Sufi and Gnawa with jazz, gospel and African music. She recently took the stage at CJC 610, preceded by Dokkan, Cairo's contemporary Egyptian music ensemble.
