It’s been a while since we heard from Blurr Entertainment, one of Egypt’s top promoters known to push the tech-house sound. Their latest gig was last October, when they transported one of the sickest parties in the world Elrow, to Royal Club Mohamed Aly with all of its over the top production and strong line-up. Last week we heard some big news about them making their comeback in collaboration with Theater Of Dreams, whose festivals are known to offer a unique experience in Egypt’s counter-culture Sinai retreat, Nuweiba. It seems that this disappearance was just the calm before the storm.
This Thursday the 29th, Cairo will witness a one of a kind line-up headlined by one of the biggest names in the industry, Adriatique. It’s certain that anyone in the country who has listened to a few deep house tracks will recognize their name, since they are part of Solomun’s Diynamic, the pioneering roster and record label of the melodic deep house sound. Following their standout release “Rolox” on Diynamic, the Swiss duo were semi-adopted by Solomun, resulting in more releases on the label, and a few back to back sessions with the label boss himself in the Diynamic showcase nights. Two years back, Adriatique started their own record label Siamese, promoting a darker shade of the deep house spectrum.Complementing the headlining act, Blurr and Theater Of Dreams are flying in Italian DJ and label boss Marco Faraone, who was also part of Adam Beyer’s Drumcode label. The techno artist later on started running his own house and techno imprint, Uncage. His music is the ideal choice to close the night.
Setting the tone for them will be none other than Egypt’s superstar DJ and Blurr owner, Abou Samra, whose beats will warm the floor up before the techno rampage.
Blurr and TOD picked the Sakkara Country Club for this experience. They’re offering VIP lounges with a private bar for the posh party lovers. We’re very excited about this one since the line-up is one of the biggest to come to Cairo.
