So far Cairo Jazz Club have been making waves with their bookings at their new venue 610, located in Sheikh Zayed City. In just two weeks they’ve managed to book bands, international and local DJs, and now they’ve just informed us that they’ve brought electronic music legend Sébastien Léger to grace their decks and provide them with the old school experience they’ve been longing for. Melodies, counterpoint and a fast sturdy beat are what fans can expect at this Thursday’s bash.

House, tech house and deep house are all among genres in electronic music that have become widespread and are currently trending in clubs around the world. Counting out psytrance, trance has more or less petered out over time, becoming a more mainstream genre and giving the stage to new genres to rule the underground. It was one of the electronic music genres pushing the envelope and trending over a decade ago, and one of the DJs who was at the forefront of it's scene is none tother than Sébastien Léger, though he has since moved away from the genre.

While he doesn't really need an introduction, Léger has been releasing records since 1999, spanning from trance to progressive house, and is known to be a modular synth fanatic. Currently he’s turned to playing something that lies in the dark melodic house realm, releasing with prominent labels such as Einmusika. Léger is a veteran and a legend in the electronic music scene, and this is a truly special opportunity to catch him here in Cairo.
